Andrew Barron, an expert on statistical information theory, probability limit theorems, and neural networks, has been appointed the Charles C. and Dorothea S. Dilley Professor of Statistics and Data Science, effective immediately.

He is a member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the Department of Statistics and Data Science and the Applied Mathematics program.
